Concrete Floors
Colored or acid stained concrete floors will not weather or fade over time. The floors keep their appearance and will not need to be re-stained or re-colored to keep the color from fading if properly maintained. These types of floors just need to be re-sealed occasionally, on exterior applications, to lock in the color and highlight all the different color variations and hues.
Acid Staining
The Look: Acid staining (also known as acid etching) gives concrete a mottled, variegated, marble-like look. It creates beautiful colors on concrete, mostly earth tone browns, reddish browns and greens.
We can also create custom shades by mixing and matching the available colors, or applying them at different rates.
The Reasons: Those suffering from allergies find concrete staining especially appealing and a welcomed change from deep pile carpeting. Acid Stain Design is virtually maintenance free for a carefree lifestyle. Simply damp mop as needed.
What To Expect: Never expect acid stain to be uniform or have an even tone (as the look of natural stone does not), you’ll get different reactions for each surface, and even on the same project you may see different coloration patterns.
